Piney Lake offers numerous outdoor recreation opportunities and is an exciting addition to Campus Recreation and the UNC Greensboro community. Piney Lake encompasses 40 acres of beautiful park-like land and is located approximately eight miles from UNC Greensboro near the Pleasant Garden community. New beginning in the Fall 2014, Piney Lake will have open recreation hours.It may be reserved by student organizations, departments, and other groups for birthdays, reunions, and anniversaries.
The Hilltop and Lakeside Lodges are perfect for conferences, special events, training, meetings and retreats.

Things To Know:
Piney Lake is UNC Greensboro’s hidden gem and is open to all members of the UNC Greensboro Community. Guests are required to present a valid UNC Greensboro ID. When visiting Piney Lake, you are welcome to bring your pets as long as the pets remain on a leash and owners clean up after them. Glass containers of any kind are prohibited on the property. To assure the safety of all guests that enter the water either on boats, swimming, canoeing, a lifeguard will be stationed by the swimming area. Additional lifeguards will be on stand-by around the lake.
Things To Do:
If you would like to go Swimming, there is a sectioned off area where you can take a dip in the lake. Alternative ways to enjoy the lake include Canoeing and Paddle Boats. Surrounding the lake is a marvelous Disc Golf course. Outside of the picnic area Volleyball, Corn Hole, Badminton, and Horse Shoes is set up for some friendly competition.
A gas grill is available for use. Please plan on bring your own grilling utensils.
