EVERYONE is required to present a valid UNCG ID card for entrance to the pool, Rec Center, equipment check out, the track and equipment rental. Faculty/Staff, Retirees and Alumni are required to purchase a membership to the Rec Center. Spouses of enrolled students, or other Rec Center members may purchase a Rec Center membership and obtain a Rec Center I.D. at the Department of Campus Recreation.
UNCG students and Rec Center members may sponsor one guest per day for $5.00. The guest pass is valid for the date issued only. The Department of Campus Recreation reserves the right to limit the use of any guest pass. Guests must be at least 18 years of age. The Guest Pass policy allows eligible individuals to sponsor guests to use the Student Recreation Center, the University Pool and Irwin Belk Recreation Track and the Campus Recreation Courts during posted open recreation hours. The intent of the policy is to allow patrons to occasionally bring a friend or family member with them to utilize the Rec Center. The policy is not intended to be a venue to bring individuals to use UNCG facilities on an ongoing basis.
1. Guest passes may only be purchased at the Student Recreation Center main desk during building operation hours.
2. Guests must leave their driver's license or picture I.D. while in the facility and must be accompanied by their UNCG host(ess) at all times. The UNCG host(ess) is responsible for their guest. Guests participate at their own risk.
Rec Center members have additional privileges for family recreation. The Rec Center is available to families on Friday evenings (from 5:00 pm to closing), Saturdays and Sundays. The Pool is available to families Fridays from 5 pm until closing Saturdays and Sundays. "Family" is defined to be parents, spouses, and children. The UNCG host(ess) must present a valid UNCG ID card and accompany family members at all times. Children under 17 years of age are not permitted in the exercise and free weight rooms.
Participants in all programs sponsored by the Department of Campus Recreation should be aware that injuries may occur as a result of such participation. Participants should not undertake any strenuous activity without consulting a physician. Should you incur an injury, the facility supervisor on duty has first aid supplies and access to an emergency telephone.
