Group Exercise Instructor Training

Spring 2013

Learn how to teach all aspects of group exercise with this comprehensive course. Participants are prepared to teach safe and effective exercise classes. The focus of this class is to learn how to teach choreography based classes like Step, Kickbox, Move N Groove, Zumba, Cardio Dance and Hi/Lo.

Music and Cueing

This course gives participants both the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to take any national group exercise instructor certification exam.

Following completion of the course, you may be eligible for employment as an instructor for the Department of Campus Recreation.

Personal Training Course

Fall 2012

Learn all aspects of Personal Training with the ACE university program (www.acefitness.org). This course is designed to provide students with the education and practical experience needed to become a personal trainer. It will prepare students to take the American Council on Exercise National Personal Trainer Certification Exam.
