Lockers and Towels


Towel Service  – $1 per day, $10 per semester

  • Patrons wanting to use the semester towel service may sign up for the service at the Campus Recreation Administrative Suite located on the 4th floor of the Rec Center.
  • Towel service is a separate fee and not included in any Membership Package Fee.
  • The patron’s ID card, when scanned, will reflect an active towel pass.
  • All towels must be returned, daily,  to the Equipment Checkout Desk before leaving the building.

Day Use Lockers - Free

  • Located on 2nd and 3rd floor of the Student Rec Center and in each of the locker rooms.
  • Bring your own lock or check out a lock from the Equipment Check-Out Desk. We have a limited number of locks for check out so it is suggested that you bring your own lock.
  • All checked out locks must be returned to the Equipment Check-Out Desk and your contents removed from the locker before you leave the building.
  • Any locks left on day use lockers will be cut and/or removed and the contents removed after closing time each night.
  • Any contents collected will be bagged, held for 2 weeks and then donated.

Locker Room Locker Rentals – Effective August 13, 2013 – see prices listed below

There are a limited number of lockers available for rent in each locker room. These are rented on a first come, first served basis each rental year; each patron may rent one half-size locker and one full-size locker per rental period. Students can only rent lockers for the semester in which they are currently enrolled.

Rental lockers may be purchased from the Administrative Offices located on the 4th floor of the Student Rec Center during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Patrons renting a locker will automatically receive the towel service with the locker rental. Patrons will need to present their University ID card to check out the first towel when they enter the building and then they may simply exchange their dirty towel for a clean one after working out. All towels must be turned in to the Equipment Check-Out Desk before leaving the building each day.

The towel pass will expire on the date the locker rental expires.

Currently enrolled students and their additional member can rent lockers only during the semester for which the students are enrolled.

Faculty, Staff, Alumni and their Additional member can rent lockers for each semester or for any number of semesters during a rental year. The rental year runs approximately from the 1st day of class in August to the last day of the summer session (actual dates will vary according to the academic calendar). Faculty, Staff, Alumni and their Additional Member can only rent lockers for up to one rental year at a time.

Half-Size Lockers  – $25 per semester, $75 per annual rental (includes towel service).

Full-Size Lockers  – $45 per semester, $135 per annual rental (includes towel service).

Locker rentals are a separate fee and not included in any Membership Package Fee.

There are a limited number of rental lockers available. Lockers are rented on a first come, first serve basis.


Locker Rental Periods for 2013-2014

Student and Student Additional Member Locker Rental Periods:

Fall 2013 – August 13th to December 9th

Spring 2014 – December 10th to May 9th

Summer 2014 – May 10th to August 11th

Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Additional Member Locker Rental Periods:

Fall 2013 – August 13th to December 9th

Spring 2014 – December 10th to May 9th

Summer 2014 – May 10th to August 11th

Annual Rental Period* – August 13, 2013 to August 11, 2014

*(this option available only to Faculty, Staff, Alumni and their additional member)


Locker Rental Policies

  • Please do not leave food in locker.
  • The renter is responsible for remembering the locker combination. Patrons will be charged $5 for a lock that must be cut due to a forgotten combination.
  • A $5 fee will be charged to all renters for lost locks and/or towels.
  • Checked out towels should be returned to the Equipment Desk on a daily basis.
  • Locks will be changed immediately following the rental expiration date, if the locker is not renewed before the expiration date.
  • Contents left in lockers after the expiration date will be bagged, held for 2 weeks and then donated.
  • If you choose not to renew your locker, please remove the contents but please leave the padlock on the locker.
  • Lockers are meant for individual use only. This agreement and the rights and responsibilities are between Campus Recreation and the person renting the locker only. If locker sharing is discovered, the violators are subject to loss of locker privileges and/or loss of Campus Recreation privileges.
  • The Department of Campus Recreation is not responsible for contents left in lockers (expired or current).
  • NO refunds are given for locker rentals.
  • Prices, terms and conditions are subject to change each August.
