Outdoor Adventures provides a variety of physically active adventure activities to students, faculty, staff, and community members in the hopes of teaching technical outdoor skills, developing self-confidence, and improving interpersonal relationships, all while having fun. Outdoor Adventures offers several types of activities of different skill and exertion levels both on and off campus. Courses are taught in hiking, backpacking, whitewater kayaking, sea kayaking, rock climbing, and caving.

Looking for a place to rock climb on campus? Come to Outdoor Adventure’s The Edge. The Edge, indoor rock wall, provides a safe, healthy, and challenging learning environment for climbers of all skill levels. A facet of Outdoor Adventures, it is the responsibility of the OA climbing wall staff to offer a developmental and cooperative environment in order to challenge and teach participants both in safety and general skills.

Whether you are looking to learn about the outdoors and a specific outdoor activity or in need of gear for your next adventure come to OUTDOOR ADVENTURES.
Outdoor Adventures is located in the Student Rec Center (SRC). To get to OA walk down the brick path between the SRC and Health and Human Performance (HHP). Turn left and head for our glass doors directly across from the HHP entrance.
The Edge is located in the back of the SRC beside the sand volleyball courts. To get there, walk down the brick path between the HHP and the SRC buildings. Turn left towards the back of the SRC building and walk to the end of the sidewalk. It will be on your left.
