Equipment Rental Policies
- Renter must be a UNCG student, faculty, staff or Student Recreation Center member.
- Renter must be 18 years of age or older, if under age 18 a parent/guardian must sign the parent/guardian rental consent form.
- All rentals must be paid in full at the time of pick-up.
- No single day weekend rentals - weekend rates will apply due to hours of operation.
- Renter agrees to return all equipment, listed on their rental contract, by 4:30 PM on the date due.
- Renters must allow time for equipment to be inspected and set-up prior to renting.
- Upon return, all equipment will be checked over or operated with the renter present to inspect for damages, missing parts and cleanliness.
- Renter is liable for any late, damaged, lost and cleaning fees of the above listed equipment. Assessment of fees, will be the right of the Outdoor Adventures Program. (Refer to equipment rental fees).
- Any potential renter may be refused a rental, at the discretion of Outdoor Adventures staff
Equipment Rental Reservation and Refund Policies
- Two options to rent equipment: 1. Drop by Outdoor Adventures and rent equipment the day you need it 2. To ensure availability of gear, make an advanced reservation via phone or in person
- Equipment rental reservations must be cancelled one day prior to pick-up date. If the reservation is not cancelled within one day prior to pick-up, the full rental charge will be assessed and the following will occur: a student’s account will be billed through the Cashier’s Office; Faculty and staff payroll will be deducted; SRC member’s membership will be suspended until fees are received in full.
- No refunds will be issued for inclement weather, customer illness, early returns, or lack of use.

Equipment Rental Fees
Renters will be assessed fees for any of the following:
- Items are late
- Items are excessively dirty
- Items are lost or stolen
- Items are damaged
The renter will be assessed a fee based on the Fees Price Sheet and/or the cost of repair or replacement of item(s). Fees must be paid within two weeks of fee assessment.
